EMU Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Represented at TIPTEKNO 2025 Conference

The International Conference on Medical Technologies (TIPTEKNO’25) was held between 26–28 October 2025 at Kaya Artemis Hotel, Bafra – TRNC, with the support of the IEEE Türkiye Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMB) Chapter, in collaboration with the Biomedical and Clinical Engineering Association and Izmir University of Economics.

The conference brought together users, manufacturers, researchers, administrators, and public representatives working in the field of medical technologies, aiming to share the latest scientific research findings in biomedical and clinical engineering and to discuss current developments and challenges in the sector.
Within the panel titled “An Overview of Biomedical Engineering Education within the Framework of Contemporary Technologies,”

Prof. Dr. Rasime Uyguroğlu, Chair of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Eastern Mediterranean University,
delivered an invited talk on “The Role and Contributions of Contemporary Technologies in Biomedical Engineering Education.”

Additionally, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Toycan, President of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Electrical Engineers (KTMMOB), gave a presentation entitled “Activities of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers in the TRNC,” providing insights into chamber activities and the professional organization of biomedical engineers.

With the support of the Biomedical Committee, invited speakers from various institutions and universities contributed to panels focusing on biomedical engineering education, medical device industry needs, and current trends in health technologies.
Throughout the event, fruitful discussions were held on improving biomedical engineering applications and strengthening collaboration among academia, the public sector, and private enterprises.
